Digital management of Emergency Kits is crucial. The common problem is: Supplies are scattered and hard to find, or when found, water and food have expired.

MononoMori provides a digital solution using Tag Aggregation and Expiry Management.

🏷️ Core Strategy: Tag Aggregation

Disaster supplies are diverse: Water is “Food”, Batteries are “Electronics”, Bandages are “Medicine”. Categorizing them makes it hard to see the “Total Disaster Prep” picture.

1. Create #Emergency Tag

This is key. Whatever you add—water, radio, blanket—if it’s for disaster prep, add the #Emergency tag.

2. One-Tap Review

When you need to take stock:

  • Go to “Tags” page.
  • Tap #Emergency.
  • All relevant items (whether in Kitchen, Garage, or Go-Bag) are instantly aggregated in one list.

🔄 Rolling Stock Method

“Rolling Stock” means buying extra daily food/water, eating the older ones regularly, and restocking. This keeps supplies fresh without waste.

1. Enable Expiry Alerts

Ensure “Food” or “Medicine” category templates have Expiry Date enabled.

2. Sort & Check

Periodically (e.g., 1st of every month):

  1. Enter #Emergency tag list.
  2. Sort by “Expiry Date”.
  3. Red dates are your targets to consume and replace today.

Your stockpile remains “alive” and fresh, never expired waste.

🎒 Go-Bag Management

For evacuations (earthquakes, fires), a “Go-Bag” you can grab instantly is vital.

1. Dedicated Location

Create a Location: “Entrance > Go-Bag”.

2. Record List

Put flashlight, whistle, foil blanket, first aid kit inside, and logging them.

  • Important Tip: Set the Cover Photo of this Location to a Flat Lay photo of all contents spread out. In an emergency, this photo helps you recall what’s inside without dumping the bag.

💡 Advanced: Family Disaster Map

Use MononoMori’s Forest Map mode for a “Digital Drill”:

  • Water Source: Kitchen (2 cases of water)
  • Energy: Study Drawer (Batteries, Power Bank)
  • Medical: Bathroom Cabinet (First Aid Kit)
  • Gear: Entrance (Go-Bag, Helmets)

Light up these locations on the map. Ensure family members know where critical supplies are stored.

Safety Tip: If possible, record usage instructions in the “Memo” (e.g., how to use the fire extinguisher, how to assemble the portable toilet). It prevents panic.
